The following crochet patterns show you how to crochet different irregular shapes, if you need something else than just the usual circle or square for your next project.

The following crochet shapes can be used for many different projects, for example crocheted coasters, different amigurumi elements or any other crochet project.

All shapes have been crocheted with the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

Crochet a Wedge Shape (1/6 Circle)

The wedge shape, or a 1/6 circle, is crocheted in one piece in Violet in rows with chain stitches and single crochet stitches.

  • Crochet the wedge shape in rows in Violet.
  • Row 1: 1 sc into the Magic Ring (1 stitches).
  • Row 2: 1 turning chain, 1 increase (2 stitches).
  • Row 3: 1 turning chain, 1 sc, 1 increase (3 stitches).
  • Row 4: 1 turning chain, 2 sc, 1 increase (4 stitches).

  • Row 1: 2 sc into the Magic Ring (2 stitches).
  • Row 2: 1 turning chain, 2 increase (4 stitches).
  • Row 3: 1 turning chain, [1 sc, 1 increase] repeat till end of the round (6 stitches).
  • Row 4: 1 turning chain, [2 sc, 1 increase] repeat till end of the round (8 stitches).
